Heraeus Precious Metals

Heraeus Precious Metals, as part of Heraeus Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, is a global business unit with its core business in precious metals, where especially the material loop, including recycling of precious metals, is the basis of the product and service portfolio.

Infrastructure

At Heraeus Precious Metals catalyst production sites, recycling facilities and R&D labs are located at one site. Material testing, especially in fuel cells, and an electrolysis single cell test centre is available. Beside this, an analytical department with various material characterization methods, including surface analytics like SEM and XPS, can be used.
Heraeus Precious Metals has instruments for nanoparticle synthesis and deposition, chemical process catalyst design, synthesis of metal organic compounds (precious metal), and electrocatalysts for H2 application and electrosynthesis.
